It's Wednesday and I have had this date circled on my calendar for what seems like 7 years!!
Why, you ask??? SOO glad you did!
Why, you ask??? SOO glad you did!
I have linked up with Janette from Johanson's Journey. She and her friend, Ashley from Cherished Bliss, have partnered with Pick Your Plum and sent a challenge out to a few of their blogger pals.

AND.... being that I am Janette's life coach (Ha!), I was selected to take on this challenge.
Here is my package that Janette sent my way with a Pick Your Plum item. Vanna, please show the audience the fabulous package....
An assortment of Cuuuuu-UTE ribbon from Pick Your Plum.
PYP is a "deal of the day" site that really is amazing. They have great prices on their items. But because of those great prices, you have to act quickly.
So, Amy, the ribbons are your challenge if you choose to accept it.
I DO!!
There really are so many great ideas, photos, articles, etc. on ribbon crafts. I, however, went a personal direction.
I used both red ribbons from my challenge packet. I had some red and white plaid that I added to the mix. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of my starting item, but I used one of my daughter's skirts.
It was too blah and I wanted to "Plum-dazzle" it for Valentines Day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I cut 1.5 inch pieces of each ribbon color/pattern. After "looping" them, I pinned them along the hemline of the skirt.
It looks a little something like this.
It looks a little something like this.
After pinning the different ribbons along the hem, you get a hemline that looks like this.
You can definitely leave the hem like this. However, I added the additional ribbon to cover the stitching to make it look more polished.
Pair the skirt with a red or white shirt and we are ready for Valentines!
Be sure to check out PYP. They also have a page on Facebook. Click HERE to become a fan and see their daily specials.
Also, be sure to check out Janette and Ashley. They are crafty bloggers and I SOO appreciate this opportunity.
